Run All Night (2015)

Run all night starring Liam Neeson and Joel Kinneman. the story revolves around a mob hit-man named Jimmy Conlan and his son Micheal ( Michael lives a peaceful life with his family with apparently no connection to his hit-man father. Working as a Limo driver, he is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time witnessing a brutal murder involving the mob his father is affiliated with. With a hit out on his son, Jimmy must choose between his long time partner and his son who resents him.

The story is well told, and I was pleasantly surprised with how suspenseful this story is. I usually think these liam neeson roles are completely cheesy, but I like the chemistry between him and Joel Kinneman, InfactI would say Joel outshined him and only enhanced the Neesons character development. you could really feel the hatred he had for his father and how much he hated having to rely on the one person who was not there for him.

As you might expect, there is plenty of gun play and swagger, but as the title suggests, mostly it's a game of running and being chased … featuring a crazy car chase. Neeson has an extended public bathroom fight scene, and the detective continues his decades long pursuit of Neeson's character.

A bit too contrived and convoluted, with seemingly every character's history with one another a long and meandering story, yet film occasionally also has a heavilly edited feel to its numerous plot twists. A few good action scenes, and a surprisingly good car chase, drowned in a murky explanatory scene thrown in midway, in an attempt to fill in some gaps.

Run All Night is a decent movie that brings the adrenaline of Taken rushing back to you. Neeson's typical character will lead you on an adventure that should please action junkies until Fast 7 arrives. While the story could use some more development in terms of characters, it is not the worst plot I've ever seen. Very watchable movie, especially if you love action movie. But it's not memorable at all
