Screen Actors Guild Awards are sometimes dismissed as just another stop on the long road to the Oscars—but Sunday night’s ceremony was anything but business as usual. Outrage against President Trump's new immigration ban took center stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards — even though the ceremony was full of shocking upsets and surprise winners.

2015 SXSW Winners (complete)

Trey Edward Shults' feature directorial debut "Krisha," and Benjamin Dickinson's urban sci-fi drama "Creative Control," received top honors at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival awards ceremony, along with Scott Christopherson and Brad Barber's "Peace Officer," a documentary that confronts some of the most difficult issues and questions facing law enforcement, through the eyes of one of its own.

Other notable winners included Don Hertzfeldt's animated short, "World of Tomorrow," and the Ross Brothers' documentary, "Western." The latter will next screen as part of the New Directors/New Films Festival, which kicks off tomorrow in New York City.

Foxcatcher (2014)

Channing Tatum stars as Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz. When we first meet him, he's already reached elite status by winning a gold medal. But the achievement hasn't allowed him to escape the shadow of his older brother, Dave, also a gold medalist. The younger Schultz wants more. He wants to be the best. His past prize also doesn't pay the bills. After training sessions, he's eating ramen noodles. All that changes, however, with a phone call from du Pont (Steve Carell) who offers to pay him and set him up in a first-class training facility on his Pennsylvania estate.

Steve Carell is going to get an Oscar nomination for this. He has finally proved to audiences that he can undertake and perfect dramatic acting. There is not one specific scene in the film that showcases this talent rather his performance as a whole. He is John Du Pont. They plaster on him a fake nose, make him look much older, and voilà you have Steve Carell looking like Du Pont. Next, he masterfully had to act like Du Pont. His struggle to prove to his mother he can do something and his sickening obsession with Mark and Dave give us that eerie feeling he is up to no good. Steve Carell freaked me out in this film. If it were up to me, I would absolutely give him a nomination and probably the Oscar.

TIFF Winners 2014

Yesterday the winners were announced. So far it looks  pretty good with the Imitation Games winning the Toronto People Choice award. TIFF is where audiences can see the best of last January’s Sundance film festival: imports include Infinitely Polar Bear with Mark Ruffalo; Whiplash, which won the U.S grand jury prize and audience award; and Lynn Shelton’s Laggies. This is also the first chance for many to catch Cannes film festival prize-winners Winter Sleep (Palme d’Or), Foxcatcher (best director for Bennett Miller), Leviathan (best screenplay), Maps to the Stars (by David Cronenberg; best actress for Julianne Moore), Mr. Turner (best actor for Timothy Spall) and the two films that tied for the jury prize, Mommy by Montreal’s Xavier Dolan and Goodbye to Language by Jean-Luc Godard.

The Imitation Game is the winner. A biopic starring Benedict Cumberbatch as an ingenious British codebreaker and computer-science pioneer Alan Turing has won the top prize at the Toronto International Film Festival. Director Morten Tyldum’s “The Imitation Game” claimed the coveted Grolsch People’s Choice Award at a Sunday morning brunch, held annually to mark the end of the 11-day movie marathon. The film, which also stars Oscar nominee Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode, beat out first runner-up “Learning to Drive” — a dramedy about the unlikely friendship between Patricia Clarkson’s newly separated book editor and her driving instructor, played by Ben Kingsley — and second runner-up “St. Vincent,” which stars Bill Murray as the cantankerous caretaker of a young boy. The crowd-pleasing “The Imitation Game,” however, simply proved too compelling in a tough-to-predict year in which there was no clear front-runner for the festival’s top award.

Venice International Film Festival 2014 Winners

Venice and Telluride are done. and we have the list of Venice winners. And Toronto International Film festival  and Deauville American Film festival are on. Excited season indeed. And I'm proud two of Indonesian movies at Venice are the winner. The Look of Silence by Jopshua Oppenheimer and Maryan by Sidi Saleh. And The Look of Silence is the most talked about about in Venice Hollywood. I'm proud to be Indonesia.

Among the films eligible that have played well with critics are Alejandro G Inarritu’s Birdman; Joshua Oppenheimer’s The Look Of Silence; Andrei Konchalovsky’s The Postman’s White Nights; Italian titles Il Giovane Favoloso, Anime Nere and Hungry Hearts; China’s Red Amnesia; Roy Andersson’s A Pigeon Sat On A Branch Reflecting On Existence; and Ramin Bahrani’s 99 Homes. After a scandal in 2012 when the jury was unable to award the Golden Lion to its first choice, rules were tweaked last year to add a Grand Jury Prize. But only in exceptional cases can a film win more than one prize; and whoever wins the Golden Lion can win that, and only that, award. See below for winners updated as they are announced:

Academy Award Best Picture Marathon (part 1)

So, for this holiday I plan to watch all of the Academy Award, best Picture winner (nominees too), I don't know about the classic hopefully I'll find it somewhere. Today, I've started with. I'll watch it randomly, depends on e\me and my emotions lol. SO I watched two movies today, I planned to watch three movie, But I was too tired from last night activity with my friends. So today i watched Million Dollar Baby and Annie Hall. Well this is my review
