Before We Go (2015)

New York at night, a guy and a girl story. More beautiful is the script, the simple dialog and smart direction. Alice Eve is convincing. She doesn't overdo it but does it just right. Chris Evans has exceeded my expectations as an actor, as a director. Watch this with your loved one on a quiet night with a bottle of wine. You will not regret it. This is a simple story told beautifully. Do not watch this if need complex emotions that makes you wanna kill yourself. Chris makes you wanna write your own ending to his beautifully told story, letting you speculate what this might have been. That's the beauty of this film. Waiting for more such movies from this team. Adios.

Before We Go tries so hard to capture the style of Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise it plays more like a script read-through than a film with any genuine warmth and emotion.  The opening premise of damsel stuck in the city is nicely handled (several scenes are oddly reminiscent of Adventures in Babysitting), but the more the film tries to create an emotional connection between Chris Evans' and Alice Eve's characters the more they seem like brother and sister.

Boyhood - Review

FINALLY, FINALLY!!! I have watched Boyhood. I wondered about this movie since Sundance and Berlin Film Festival this year, with Linklater won a Silver Bear Prize. 12 years of making. WOW. amazing reviews, Oscar Buzz, Ethan Hawke, Richard Linklater, that young boy, Patricia Arquette, etc. I just couldn't wait to watch this movie. Finally I have watched it now. And I'm, so proud.

From the concept is very interesting, it's like a documentary movie but it was scripted. 12 years of making, very dedicated actors and crews. It's all paid off. So this is my review as I said before, Linklater is the master of making real, simple, realistic movies with a lot of dialogue, less music and all. He doesn't want to manipulate the audience with amazing scores. Some complain about this, ME on the other hand I enjoyed it. My sister doesn't enjoy this movie, she said it was over long and not as good as the critics and bloggers say. But I really like it, it feels like watching my brother gew up in front of my eyes. I love the details on how Linklater shows what year it is, like the music, the game, the language, and all.

Ellar Coltrane as Mason is very magnificent. He is terrific, but I enjoy the first half of his charater, nearing the end of the movie I didn't like his character that much. But Ellar could play it amazingly. I love how Mason grows up, we first see him as this young boy who enjoy his life until to the point when he wonders what should he has done. Everyone has been on Mason shoes, we can;t deny it. Or if you are still very very young you will know you will be on Mason's shoes.

The Before Trilogy -- Richard Linklater

I had been wanting to watch the Trilogy in marathon for so long. And as I told you before, I was so l2p about this trilogy. So last night, I didn't sleep (thanks good today internship started late and I'm kinda free today). I watched Before Sunset years ago (with my older cousin). And I watched Before Midnight last year. SO I'm going to start my review about this trilogy by amazing man "Richard Linklater". for me the trilogy are on the top of my favorite movie. Sweet, warm, heartbreaking, and all. i love it. If you need something that's real and truthful. Give the trilogy a shot
